Clinical Associate Professor Wong Hon Tym is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) with a Master’s degree in Medicine (Ophthalmology).

He completed his Glaucoma fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital (UK) in 2003.

He is the Clinical Director of the Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) and a Senior Consultant in Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s Ophthalmology Department, which he led from 2006 to 2016. He is the past Medical Director of the NHG Eye Institute.

His key areas of focus are glaucoma, teleophthalmology, primary eye care, systems level care transformation, technology adoption, sustainability and leadership development.

He is also the Chairman of Guide Dogs Singapore and the recipient of NHG’s Outstanding Citizenship Award and the National Medical Excellence Award.
