Oliver Findl is Professor of Ophthalmology and chairs the Department of Ophthalmology at the Hanusch Hospital, Vienna, Austria. He founded and heads the Vienna Institute for Research in Ocular Surgery (VIROS). His research interests are in the fields of posterior capsule opacification, optical biometry and the pathogenesis of myopia. He has authored over 250 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and is currently the secretary of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) as well as the treasurer of the Austrian Ophthalmological Society.
