Modern cataract surgery is precise, safe, and delivers excellent outcomes. However, there can be complications, both expected and unforeseen. Vitreous issues are potentially the most serious but can be safely managed by evolving modern vitreous surgical techniques and instrumentation. This MasterClass aims to inform about the pathoanatomy, clinical situations encountered, how to manage the vitreous using current instrumentation and knowledge, outcomes, and how to manage the related longer-term issues.
