Assoc Prof Marcus Ang is a Senior Consultant, Corneal & Refractive Services at Singapore National Eye Centre.
He has >160 peer-reviewed publications (H-index=39) focusing on clinical and translational research. He has published a few important articles in the LANCET, PRER and Ophthalmology; and book chapters such as the seminal textbook CORNEA. He has several patents for ophthalmic devices and awarded several national grants to study cornea imaging and innovation. He is a regular invited speaker at international conferences recognized by his international awards such as the APAO Achievement Award (2018) and AAO Achievement Award (2019).
He has been commended with the President’s Award for Philanthropy in Singapore (2017), and Outstanding Service in the Prevention of Blindness Award from APAO (2019). His contributions and achievements as a young ophthalmologist have led to him being awarded the Artemis Award by AAO in 2019 and Vision Excellence Award (IAPB) in 2020.
