Clinical Associate Professor Lee is the Head and Senior Consultant of the Surgical Retina Department at Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). She is also currently the President of the Singapore Society of Ophthalmology.
She graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1996 and obtained her post-graduate degrees for Ophthalmology in 2004 (FAMS and FRCSEd (Ophth)). She completed a 2-year fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at SNEC and spent a stint with Prof Ian Constable and Prof Ian MacAllister at the Lions Eye Institute, Western Australia.
Her research interests are in retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, retinal complications of myopia, gene therapy for retinal disorders.
She has been active in teaching and was appointed Adjunct Associate Professor with the Duke-NUS Medical School in 2008. She has also been teaching the undergraduate medical students with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and is a clinical lecturer.
