Prof Jost Jonas is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and clinical scientist, chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology/Heidelberg University/Germany, member of the German Academy of Science, Glaucoma Research Society, Macula Society, Retina Society, and Academia Ophthalmologica Internationalis, and Honorary Member of the French Ophthalmological Society and Asia-Pacific Vitreoretinal Society. He is recipient of the International Gold Award of the Chinese Ophthalmologic Society.
