Dr Jeewan Singh Titiyal has been on the faculty of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) since January 1991, and is currently an Additional Professor in the Cornea and Refractive Surgery Unit. His fields of specialization include corneal diseases, keratoplasty, refractive surgery, stem cell transplantation, contact lens, LVA, phacoemulsification, and pediatric cataracts. Dr Titiyal’s work has been extensively published in premier peer reviewed international and national journals. He has contributed many chapters in ophthalmic books, and he is currently Chief Editor of DOS TIMES: Monthly Bulletin for the Delhi Ophthalmological Society, for which he also serves as secretary and scientific program coordinator. Dr Titiyal has been invited to chair various sessions and perform live surgical demonstrations at various national and international conferences. He has organized three international conferences, and delivered the first late Dr B.D. Joshi oration on “Therapeutic Contact Lenses”, awarded by Vidarbha Ophthalmic Society in June 1999.
