She is also the Medical Director of Hospital Authority Eye Bank. Her interests include lamellar keratoplasty, ocular surface diseases and medical contact lenses. Dr Jimmy Lai worked in public healthcare services including the Department of Health, the Hospital Authority, and the University of Hong Kong until his retirement. He was one of the pioneers in applying ALPI, SLT, GSL, Express Glaucoma shunt, and XEN glaucoma implant in the treatment of various types of closed angle and open
